Tennessee football beat out Alabama, Florida and Texas to land four-star edge rusher Jordan Ross.
Ross is a 6-foot-5, 233-pounder from Vestavia Hills in Birmingham, Alabama.
He committed to the Vols on Monday night after receiving scholarship offers from more than 20 schools, including Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt from the SEC.
Ross is the 20th commitment in the Vols’ 2024 class, which jumped to No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite rankings. Only Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, Alabama and Florida State are ahead of Tennessee.
Ross is entering his senior season. As a junior, he recorded 49 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 2½ sacks.
Ross is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports Composite. He is ranked the No. 4 edge rusher and No. 37 prospect overall.
