Week 18 of the NFL season opens Saturday with a pair of AFC matchups with playoff implications.
First, the Steelers and Ravens renew their classic rivalry in Baltimore. Pittsburgh needs a win to keep its playoff hopes alive, though it doesn’t guarantee a playoff spot, either. On the other side, the Ravens have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, technically giving them nothing to play for. As a result, Lamar Jackson and other starters are sitting out, but the chance to eliminate their hated rival from playoff elimination is in play.
Later, the Texans and Colts battle in Indianapolis with a simple scenario: win and you’re in. The winner of the game between the 9-7 squads would, at the very least, clinch a playoff spot and could win the AFC South if the Jaguars lose to the Titans on Sunday.
