JASON FITZ: Let’s also address the elephant in the room everybody continually talks about right now, which is Tom Brady. And, Kevin, I think this is interesting from your standpoint because you’re working with a friend and doing great work, but also there is this other side of it of, like, Brady’s presumably coming in next year. How do you balance the moments in the booth and try to figure out what’s right right now and also getting ready for the future with him?
KEVIN BURKHARDT: The way that I’ve dealt with it is just by staying in the present. You know, that’s the bottom line. Like, I just don’t– I don’t know any other way, and I haven’t known any other way. It’s just show up. Greg and I do the games that we do and do a broadcast that we’re proud of and do that and deal with it.
But has it been fun dealing with the question every single week? No, it hasn’t been fun dealing with every single week, and obviously it hasn’t stopped this week going forward. So it is what it is, Jason. You know, I don’t make that decision. Greg doesn’t make the decision. I know this. I know for the last three years, Greg and I have done broadcasts that we’re both really, really proud of.
GREG OLSEN: My goals in this world have not changed. They’re not going to change. If anything, I would say I’m even more eager and excited to call top games and call number-one games. That was my goal getting into this when I started after I retired back in 2021, my first season with Kevin on the second crew. It was my goal last year. Obviously we were able to call Super Bowls.
