Myles Johnson, three-star linebacker, decommits from Alabama football

Three-star linebacker Myles Johnson from the 2025 recruiting class has decommitted from Alabama football, Johnson announced on Wednesday. It comes shortly after the decommitment of four-star athlete Zymear Smith.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Brewton, Alabama native out of T.R. Miller High School originally committed to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide on Oct. 14, 2023. Alongside Anthony Rogers, Johnson was one of Alabama’s earliest commitments in its 2025 cycle.

The 247Sports Composite has Johnson tabbed as the No. 22 prospect in Alabama and the No. 51 linebacker in the 2025 class. nationally, Johnson ranks No. 486 in the nation. Johnson holds five total offers, including one from Florida, which he took a visit to on June 7.

With Johnson and Smith’s decommitments, Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class now holds 21 pledges and ranks second in the nation per the 247Sports Composite. Alabama has picked up 11 commitments in its 2025 class since the start of June.
