The elite offensive tackle chose Alabama over offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Florida State, and numerous others. He holds 32 total offers in his recruitment.

This summer, Haywood took a handful of official visits., including his official visit to Tuscaloosa on May 31-June 2. From that point, it seemed Alabama was the team to beat.

Haywood is the fifth offensive lineman to choose Alabama. Among the Crimson Tide’s red-hot summer on the trail, the offensive line has suddenly become the Tide’s most stacked position. Haywood joins a class that includes four-star prospects Jackson Lloyd, Mal Waldrep and Micah DeBose. Haywood was also heavily recruited by fellow Dallas Fort-Worth product Keelon Russell.

Russell was a key piece in the recruitment of the newest Crimson Tide commit.

The elite quarterback and leader of this class commented on the offensive line recruiting in Tuscaloosa, which he was helping to add to.

“What I’m seeing is amazing. When I tell you that you can look at a group of kids and feel like you’re going to have 30 years in the pocket, this is the type of group you would imagine right here. I’m really excited to get behind those dudes, have an amazing season with them. We’re still adding pieces to this offensive line. And it’s gonna be very dangerous. We still getting top dudes and we already got top dudes. Yeah. So let’s keep building this thing for sure.”

Alabama remains in…
