Speaking of quarterbacks, Cincinnati Bengals get theirs back.
So we all presume the borough means Super Bowl, uh opportunities for the Bengals.
They are my way too early AFC Super Bowl pick, in fact.
So Frank, I will let you, sir tell me what the one big question is for Cincinnati.
Yeah, the, the one big thing for me with the Bengals in studying them this off season is that their offense really wasn’t the problem last year, maybe early in the season.
I get that, but we forget Jake Browning played some pretty good football and, and that’s a testament to that coaching staff and whatnot, but we just, you know, sit here and assume, oh, Joe Joe Burrow is back.
They’re right back to being super bowl contenders when it wasn’t really the offense holding them back last year.
It was the defense, that defense took a massive step back last year.
They were 23rd at DVO A in terms of yards play allowed 32nd in the NFL in yards per pass allowed, tied for 29th in the NFL in yards per rush allowed.
We all praised our coordinator Lou Anna Roo, uh, for the last couple of years when they were super bowl contenders and then he didn’t have any answers last year.
I think it’s a big prove it year for the defense.
And we all have questions about Joe Burrow and his wrist and all that kind of stuff.
But I think the defense is what’s gonna make or break them.
Can they get back to where they were in 2021 2022?
And they were very, very good.
Top 10 even last year, they plummeted a little bit.
Do you just get that back?
I mean, the off-season wasn’t great for that personnel wise.
It’s not like they added a ton to the defense.
They concentrated on the offensive line in the first round of the draft.
