SEC Media Days in Dallas, Texas has officially come to an end, which means that media projections are beginning to surface.

Media in attendance were asked to predict the order of finish for SEC football teams this season, and the results are now known. For Auburn, they are expected to finish below the midway mark in the SEC at No. 10.

After the SEC preseason media poll’s release, On3’s Thomas Goldkamp shared his take on the Auburn Tigers ahead of the 2024 season. Goldkamp cites Auburn’s 2023 struggles as a possible reason for Auburn’s low ranking. However, he can see the Tigers becoming a surprise team this season.

If Auburn can get above-average play at quarterback there’s a chance the Tigers surprise in 2024, but that’s proven to be a big if in recent years. Can other areas of the team step up to make up the difference?

Here’s a look at where each SEC team, including Auburn, is projected to finish this season according to media projections.
