5 under-the-radar Giants who could make an impact at 2024 NFL training camp

NFL training camp gets underway this week for the Giants. Let’s review five under-the-radar players to watch…

Following Saquon Barkley’s departure, the Giants brought in veteran Devin Singletary to be their top running back, but there should be plenty of opportunities for other players to step up and share the load. Tracy was drafted in the fifth round and could prove to be a bargain.

According to Pro Football Focus, Tracy had the highest yards after contact rate of any running back prospect in this year’s draft. He also caught 113 passes in his college career and could contribute as a kickoff returner in addition to being a rotational back.

He’ll compete with the likes of Jashaun Corbin and Eric Gray for a role. Gray was a mid-round pick last year but had a disappointing rookie season.

Ford-Wheaton could be one to watch after a promising rookie year was derailed by injury. As an undrafted rookie, he looked set to make the roster, but then suffered a torn ACL in the final preseason game.

The 24-year old offers good size at 6-foot-4 and can also contribute as a punt gunner. However, he has excelled in camp and preseason in the past, so it would not be a surprise to see him making a case for himself.

Could this finally be the year Cager gets an opportunity for regular playing time? The opportunity is there following the retirement of Darren Waller, which leaves the Giants without…
