There is just over one month until the college football season kicks off, and many experts across the nation are occupying their time by predicting the final win-loss records of SEC teams (as well as playing EA Sports College Football 25).

Auburn football was projected to finish No. 10 in the SEC according to the media who attended SEC Media Days in Dallas last week, so it does not come as a surprise that SEC Unfiltered’s Chris Phillips projects the Tigers to finish with a 7-5 record in 2024.

However, Phillips has caused quite a stir with Auburn fans due to the losses he predicts Auburn to take.

Phillips expects Auburn to lose to College Football Playoff contenders Alabama and Georgia on the road, which is a fair prediction. He does, however, project Auburn to lose road games at Missouri and Kentucky while winning home games against Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Phillips’ most head-scratching prediction is Auburn losing to Arkansas at Jordan-Hare Stadium to open SEC play in late September.

As expected, Phillips’ prediction of Auburn football’s season has baffled Tigers’ fans. Here’s a look at the best reactions to SEC Unfiltered’s projection of Auburn football’s 2024 season.

Predicting a loss to Arkansas is quite a choice

Make it make sense

I just wanna know why

Anything can happen!

It may not be too wild of a pick afterall

Beating OU & A&M
Losing to ARK & UK

It’s Auburn football this isn’t too far fetched… but so backwards https://t.co/d7HSnZZw7P
