Listing SW Florida’s best juniors for the 2024 high school football season

High school football is almost here, so The News-Press and Naples Daily News are running down the top juniors in Southwest Florida entering the 2024 season.

Top juniors this season include the sixth-best receiver in the nation, along with several highly recruited players on the offensive and defensive lines. But this list includes more than players who will play in power conferences on future Saturdays, these are also players who will make an impact on Fridays this fall in Southwest Florida.

Best Southwest Florida high school football juniors in 2024

Micah Anderson

The linebacker led the Vikings in tackles as a junior, totaling 76, plus 7.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

Cale Austin

Austin cemented his status as a quarterback to watch last season, tossing 14 touchdowns and just three picks. He threw for 1,778 yards and rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns.

Logan Bartelt

St. John Neumann

Bartelt is one of the key returners in the Celtics’ offense after catching 26 passes for 355 yards and seven touchdowns, which led the team, last season.

William Bichler

Bichler is set to start at quarterback for the Wolfpack this season after backing up Chase Enguita a year ago. He threw for 243 yards and a touchdown in five games.
