Vote for the Tulare County Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 26-30 — 10 choices

Visalia Times-Delta/Tulare Advance-Register readers can now vote for their favorite high school athletes at the newspaper’s website, visaliatimesdelta.com.

The poll closes on Friday. There are no restrictions so vote now and vote often. Please do not email your votes.

Here are the choices for the week of Aug. 26-30:

Juan Arroyo, football, Lindsay: Arroyo had two tackles and three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown as the Cardinals downed Arvin 38-14.

Isaiah Colunga, football, Strathmore: Colunga passed for 97 yards and also rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Jose Cortes, football, Lindsay: Cortes erupted for 175 rushing yards on 23 carries.

Jordan Crisp, football, Tulare Union: Crisp accounted for four touchdowns (three passing, rushing) in the Tribe’s season-opening 34-21 win over St. Joseph.

Khianna Hardwick, volleyball, Golden West: Hardwick registered five kills, two blocks and 12 digs to lead the Trailblazers (1-1) to a 25-23, 25-11, 25-21 win over Kingsburg.

Katelynn May, volleyball, Redwood: May delivered 15 kills, four blocks and a dig as the Rangers defeated Bullard 25-17, 25-9, 25-13 in a non-league game.

Aldo Rodriguez, football, Woodlake: Rodriguez threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns to direct the Tigers to a 20-19 win over Sierra Pacific.

D.J. Shimer, football, Monache: Shimer ran for 127 yards and a touchdown. He also added 121 yards on kickoff return but the Marauders fell 41-15 to Lemoore.

Achilles Sierra, football, Tulare Western: Sierra rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown and also rifled a 76-yard touchdown pass.

Aubrey Taylor, football, Tulare Western: Taylor had three interceptions to help the Mustangs defeat El Diamante 8-6.
