Looking ahead: How Alabama football commitments performed during high school action

The high school football season is well underway around the country, and it is time to start tracking how Alabama football commits fared over the last week of high school action.

Each week, The Tuscaloosa News will track how some of the top Alabama football commitments performed during high school games the week before. Here’s a roundup of how some of future Crimson Tide players performed during high school action from the week of Aug. 19.

Anthony Rogers

Carver-Montgomery (Montgomery, Alabama), running back

Performance: In Carver-Montgomery’s season-opening 41-19 win over Vestavia Hills, the four-star 2025 running back racked up 162 total yards and a touchdown. It is Rogers’ first season in a Carver-Montgomery jersey after playing at IMG in 2023 and Pike Road in Montgomery the two seasons before that.

Dijon Lee

Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, California), cornerback

Performance: In Mission Viejo’s 35-7 win last week, the five-star class of 2025 cornerback tallied up 12 total tackles and one sack, putting him at 14 total tackles and two interceptions on the season. Mission Viejo is 2-0 to start the 2024 campaign.

Luke Metz

Mill Creek (Hoschton, Georgia), linebacker

Performance: In Mill Creek’s 21-10 win over Norcross last week, the four-star linebacker from the 2025 cycle accounted for eight total tackles, one of those for loss, along with one sack. He also contributed two receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown on offense. Mill Creek is 2-0 to start the season.
