Big Ten football predictions for every UCLA game in 2024

It is widely felt in the Big Ten football community that UCLA football is in for a very difficult 2024 season. We wrote about this recently:

“The Bruins lost D’Anton Lynn and multiple players to USC. If you thought USC’s NIL problems were considerable, UCLA lives in a much more difficult ecosystem in the shadow of the Trojans. UCLA is also hamstrung by something USC doesn’t have to worry about: That “Calimony” payment to Berkeley, the cost of leaving the Big Ten and drawing the ire of the UC system and its board of regents. UCLA also mismanaged the offseason by not immediately firing Chip Kelly. D’Anton Lynn might have stayed if UCLA had sacked Kelly and hired a new head coach right away. The indecisive nature of UCLA’s athletic department opened the door for Lynn and some UCLA players to exit, rather than stick around for 2024.”

All of this points to a transition year in which first-year head coach DeShaun Foster will have to take some lumps and trust that he can recruit his way out of the bottom tier of the Big Ten. USC fans hope that process takes a very long time. The Trojans aren’t really all that concerned with the Bruins right now. They need to win at least nine games this year, hopefully 10.

Let’s give you our game-by-game Big Ten football predictions for UCLA this season, helped by our panel at Ducks Wire, UW Huskies Wire, and UCLA Wire.
