Who is Florida State’s backup QB? FSU football depth chart behind DJ Uiagalelei

Shortly after DJ Uiagalelei threw an interception that Boston College nearly took back for a touchdown, the chants emerged from the stands at Doak S. Campbell Stadium.

Florida State fans, staring at an eight-point third-quarter deficit that was about to grow to 15, had seen enough from their team’s starting quarterback: “We want Brock,” the fans chanted, a reference to Brock Glenn, another one of the quarterbacks on the Seminoles’ roster.

Uiagalelei was a high-profile pick-up for coach Mike Norvell and his team in the offseason. The former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback was a former five-star recruit with all the requisite physical tools to excel at the position. Though he never met the lofty expectations that greeted him at Clemson, he had been good enough over the past two seasons, throwing for 43 touchdowns and 14 interceptions for Clemson and Oregon State teams that won a combined 19 games during that stretch.

With Florida State, however, he has gotten off to an inauspicious start. A Week 0 loss to Georgia Tech could have been written off as an early season setback in a foreign country that could be quickly forgotten. But another underwhelming performance, this time at home and against the team picked 14th in the ACC preseason poll, made the calls for change more understandable.

Through two games, Uiagalelei has completed 40 of 69 (57.9%) for 463 yards and one touchdown to one interception.

Should Norvell choose to make a switch, where would he turn? Here’s a look at Florida State’s depth chart and options at quarterback:
