Heisman Trophy rankings — where Miller Moss stands after Week 1

Who will win the Heisman Trophy this year? Quarterbacks have taken the honor in recent years, with Jayden Daniels (2023) and Caleb Williams (2022) joining the list of Heisman winners. Miller Moss of USC certainly put himself into the conversation in Week 1 with a great performance against LSU.

With Week 1 complete, all of the best players in college football have a game and stats on record for this fall. This provides an early opportunity at the start of September to see who could win the Heisman Trophy come December.

Each week throughout the season, we’ll take a look at the field, who is doing what, who is moving up the ladder, and who is inching closer to the most coveted player-of-the-year honor in sports.

1. (WR/KR) Travis Hunter, Colorado

Hunter finished with seven catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns on offense. On defense had three tackles in a 31-26 win over North Dakota State.

2. (QB) Cam Ward, Miami-FL

Cam Ward had a great debut against rival Florida with 385 passing yards and throwing three touchdowns in a 41-17 win.

3. (QB) Carson Beck, Georgia

Carson Beck is the best quarterback in the draft when throwing over the middle. Consistent, good ball placement, timing and rhythm. Not to mention his release🤌🏼

Senior Carson Beck completed 23 of his 33 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-7 blowout win over Clemson.
