RGIII ranks his top 5 Heisman contenders after Week 1

Former Heisman winner and Baylor football legend Robert Griffin III has ranked his top five Heisman contenders ahead of Week 2. Griffin III also played with Baltimore Ravens in the NFL and is a former ESPN football analyst.

Week 1 featured several notable games the Georgia Bulldogs dominated the Clemson Tigers in Atlanta. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish went on the road and picked up an impressive win against the Texas A&M Aggies. The USC Trojans defeated the LSU Tigers at a neutral site in their first game as a member of the Big Ten.

Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck was efficient and effective in Georgia’s 34-3 win over Clemson. Beck faced a stronger defense than any other player on Griffin III’s list of Heisman contenders. Beck completed 23 of 33 passes for 278 yards and no interceptions.
