“Last week was a fun game,” Scranton Prep running back and defensive back Treyvon Dickey said. “This senior class at Prep has been playing together a lot since we were sophomores, and we have had high expectations. We played up to our level, and it was an intense game that was close and exciting.

Scranton Prep head coach Terry Gallagher won the 85th game of his career to tie Hall of Fame coach Phil Angeli as the all-time leader in the program’s history.

Since the 2015 season, the Cavaliers are 97-18.

This week’s game is the season opener for Canisius. The Crusaders finished 5-6 last season in the Monsignor Martin League.
