Former Florida Gators and Mississippi State Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen has released his top 10 rankings ahead of Week 3. Mullen serves as a college football analyst for ESPN.

Mullen’s No. 1 team in the country is the Ohio State Buckeyes. The former Florida coach ranks Ohio State over the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 3 Texas Longhorns.

Mullen has the Alabama Crimson Tide as his No. 4 team and the Ole Miss Rebels as his No. 5 team. Mullen is higher than most on the Miami Hurricanes, who he ranks No. 6. Miami really impressed with a dominant road win over Florida in Week 1.

More than half of the teams in Mullen’s top 10 rankings are from the SEC. Half of the teams in his top 10 play against challenging opponents in Week 3.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes (bye in Week 3)

Ohio State plays its first Power Four team on Sept. 28. We won’t be able to evaluate the Buckeyes too much until then. Ohio State beat Western Michigan 56-0 in Week 2.

2. Georgia Bulldogs (at Kentucky)

Quarterback Carson Beck completed five touchdown in Georgia’s 48-3 win over Tennessee Tech last week. Georgia already has a big win over Clemson.
