Georgia football fans rank high in fan happiness, a new study says. But not No. 1 in the SEC

Georgia Bulldogs fans are among the happiest in college football, ranking as the No. 5 happiest fan base nationwide and the No. 2 happiest in the SEC, according to a recent study conducted by Casino.org.

This was a nationwide study with a sample size of 4,000 D1 college football fans. Fans were surveyed to gauge their happiness or misery levels with their respective teams by using a weighted scale.

The study, which assessed various factors including team performance satisfaction, management competence, and game day experience, paints a glowing picture of the Dawg’s fan base.

Optimism and championship hopes from fans

One of the standout findings from the study is that a staggering 98.7% of Bulldogs fans believe that the team has a chance of making it to the College Football Playoff National Championship each season.

Fan satisfaction

According to the survey, Bulldogs fans report a high level of satisfaction with their team’s performance over the past five years, with an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.

Despite occasional letdowns, fans rarely feel disappointed, scoring an average of 1.9 on a scale of 1 (never) to 5 (always). When it comes to losses, the irritation level is moderate, with an average score of 3.4 out of 5.

Management and coaching

The competence of the team’s management also received high marks, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. This confidence extends to the coaching staff, as 97.5% of fans trust the current team coach Kirby Smart.

Additionally, 98.6% of fans are happy with the current players.
