ASU football reaction: Social media marvels at Sun Devils’ win over Texas State, 3-0 start

The Arizona State football team is 3-0 on the season after rallying to defeat Texas State in San Marcos, Texas, on Thursday night, 31-28.

The Sun Devils are the first FBS team to win three games this season.

Bet you didn’t predict that would be the case entering the season.

ASU football won three games all of last season (and three games the season before that).

It will have a chance to move to 4-0 when it takes on Texas Tech in its next game on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Lubbock, Texas in its first Big 12 Conference game.

Social media had thoughts on ASU’s 3-0 start as well as the team’s performance against Texas State and the coaching performance from Kenny Dillingham after the game Thursday.

What a fun game to watch! Both teams left it on the grass. Big win by @ASUFootball – 3-0. Congrats to @KennyDillingham & this staff.

Big fan of how @coacharroyo calls the game. Run game and OL impressive again. Made plays when had to. Defense responded to adversity all night.…

Just insanely impressed with Dillingham and co. for adjusting and dominating this game after going down 21-7. Short week, on the road, against a hot opponent… incredible coaching and incredible fight show by these guys 🙌 #ForksUp…
