The No. 2 Texas Longhorns will face off against the UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns will be strutting in after a victory while the Roadrunners will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last Saturday, Texas strolled past Michigan with points to spare in a 31-12 statement win. The Longhorns had no problem finishing drives, scoring touchdowns on all four of their trips to the red zone. Quinn Ewers was the offensive standout, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns. Gunnar Helm was his favorite target, picking up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, UTSA took a serious blow against Texas State, falling 49-10. The over/under was set at 59 points, so nice work oddsmakers; you were right on the money.
Texas’ win was its sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. It pushed the Lohghorns record to 2-0 on the year. As for UTSA, the defeat dropped its record down to 1-1.
