Texas A&M football misses on 5-star WR Jerome Myles, who heads to Big Ten

Texas A&M football hit a bump on the recruiting trail Wednesday when five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles verbally committed to USC.

The 6-foot-2 pass catcher from Corner Canyon High School chose the Trojans over the Aggies and home-state Utah Utes.

While Texas A&M still ranks eighth in 247Sports’ recruiting rankings for the class of 2025, coach Mike Elko and his staff lost out on a high-profile pass-catching recruit that could have had an early impact in College Station.

The Aggies have received hard commitments from three-star wide receiver Tristan Norman out of Alabama and four-star athlete Noah Mikhail, which should soften the blow a bit.

A&M most recently received a commitment from four-star safety Rashad Johnson out of Bushnell, Florida, earlier this month, but their last impactful commitment on the offensive side of the ball came from Kelshaun Johnson in July.

The Aggies are fresh off a decisive win over the Florida Gators, and turning attention to Week 4 action against a sneaky Bowling Green (1-1) team.
