Which OU football players are listed on SEC injury report for Tennessee game?

NORMAN — Defensive back Gentry Williams will officially be out when No. 13 OU hosts No. 7 Tennessee on Saturday night. It also appears OU’s offensive line and wide receiver groups will be much healthier this week.

OU listed 12 players in its first appearance in the report, which is now required before conference games.

Tennessee listed three players as out, one as questionable and three as probable. The Volunteers are 3-0 and are 7-point favorites over the Sooners.

The SEC followed in the Big Ten’s footsteps by installing the availability reports. SEC teams must file their reports Wednesday before a Saturday conference game and update them daily until 90 minutes before kickoff.

OU coach Brent Venables mentioned during his weekly news conference the reports will “save everybody the time and frustration.”

“It’ll come across my desk,” Venables said. “And I’ll go out to practice and whoever is out there, that’s who will be there.”

OU football players listed on SEC injury report

Gentry Williams, who appeared to injure his shoulder again earlier this season, is out. He didn’t dress vs. Tulane. Venables has previously said he doesn’t think Williams’ injury is serious.

It’s been previously announced that Jalil Farooq (foot) and Jayden Gibson (knee) and offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett (biceps) are dealing with long-term injuries. Gibson and Hatchett won’t be back this season.

Linebacker Dasan McCullough is doubtful, while tight end Kade McIntryre and offensive linemen Branson Hickman and Jake Taylor are questionable, and wide receivers Nic Anderson and Andrel Anthony, as well as defensive back Kendel Dolby and offensive lineman Troy Everett are probable.
