Vote among 25 offensive and defensive high school football players for midseason player of the year

Week 7 of the NCHSAA football season has arrived, meaning the regular season is halfway over.

Now that conference play is in full swing, voting for midseason offensive and defensive player of the year has begun.

Here are the 25 nominees between both categories that we’re listed because of their recognizable play over the first seven weeks of the season:

Offense

Latrell Carter, Pine Forest – Carter has nine total touchdowns this season and leads the All American conference with 486 rushing yards.

Rashad Dockery, South View – Dockery is tied for fourth in the United 8 in touchdowns with six

King Faison, Cape Fear – Faison has totalled 400 rushing yards on the season which is fifth in the United 8 and six touchdowns on the ground.

Jayson Franklin, Seventy-First – Franklin averages 90 yards on the ground per game resulting in 360 total yards on the season and four touchdowns.

Dominic Madkiff, Pine Forest – The receiver has 347 reception yards on the season, making him third in the AAC.

Jacob Moore, Terry Sanford – The junior has 10 total touchdowns and places third in the AAC in passing yards with 675.

Jaidon Moore, Pine Forest – Moore has passed for 764 yards so far with eight touchdowns which is second in the AAC.

Alphonso Myers, Gray’s Creek – Myers has averaged 124.5 yards rushing per game and scored eight total touchdowns.

DeAndre Nance, Seventy-First – The reigning United 8 player of the year is averaging 92 rushing yards per game is tied-4th in the United in touchdowns with six on the season.

Elijiah Oehlke, Trinity Christian – The Wake Forest commit has collected 815 passing yards to lead the NCISAA Big East, and…
