Purdue football in-state receiver recruit decommits from 2025 class

INDIANAPOLIS – One of Purdue football’s projected offensive weapons in the 2025 class rescinded his commitment Monday night.

Hammond Morton receiver Lebron Hill announced on social media he has decommitted. The three-star, top-1,000 prospect had flipped his commitment from Louisville to the Boilermakers on June 25.

Morton declared his recruitment “100% open.”

Insider: Why Ryan Walters fired his offensive coordinator, and why now?

“After a long conversation with my family and coaches, I’ve decided to decommit from the University of Purdue,” Hill wrote. “This wasn’t an easy decision. I love for the entire staff; it genuinely felt like home. I just personally want to thank Purdue for all they have done.”

Hill’s decision follows in the wake of a tough start to Purdue’s season. Boilermakers coach Ryan Walters fired offensive coordinator Graham Harrell on Sunday after three straight losses.

Hill, a 6-4, 180-pound prospect, totaled 564 yards and eight touchdowns on 34 receptions last season. Through five games this season he has 366 yards and two touchdowns on 24 receptions. He also averages 24.5 yards on kickoff returns.

Hill was the only receiver commit in Purdue’s 2025 class, which now has 12 known commitments. That group is ranked 62nd nationally and 17th among Big Ten teams, per 247Sports.
