Receiver Davante Adams, long rumored as a Jets target, tells Raiders he prefers to be traded

Every time Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams’ name has popped up in trade rumors, the Jets have been floated as a natural landing spot, given Adams’ eight years with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay and the club’s championship aspirations.

And now, those trade rumors of Adams being dealt are louder than ever.

According to NFL Network, Adams has informed the Raiders that he prefers to be traded, taking things beyond any previous speculation that the wide receiver wanted out of Vegas.

Additionally, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders would “consider” trading the star wideout for a second-round pick plus additional draft compensation.

Corley, a third-round pick, has been on the field for just two snaps this season, making one catch for four yards. Meanwhile, fellow Rodgers favorite Allen Lazard has been the team’s leading receiver with 206 yards on 16 catches.

All that being said, the Jets could certainly look to add to their receiving group, given that their championship window that centers around the 40-year-old Rodgers, and Adams has previously added fuel to the fire of those Jets rumors by saying on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast that he wouldn’t mind reuniting with his former quarterback.
