SIAC Football Weekly Honors: Oct. 2

ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Football Players of the Week on Wednesday, Oct. 2, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Brandon Marshall (Fort Valley State), Marlon Pollock (Albany State), Seve Spruill II (Morehouse) and Keith Green (Miles) were recognized.

Running Back | Graduate | Philadelphia, Pa.

Marshall combined for 142 total yards on 19 touches on Sunday in the 30-0 win over Savannah State. He rushed for 69 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns and pulled in five passes for 73 yards. Leading 3-0, he ran for four yards on first down and three plays later scored from six yards out to make it 10-0. After the ensuing Savannah State punt, he caught a 32-yard pass and rushed in from six yards for his second touchdown in the third quarter.

Linebacker | R-Senior | Lake City, Fla.

Pollock delivered a standout performance in Albany State’s 49-21 victory over Kentucky State, anchoring the defense with a game-changing effort. Pollock recorded nine total tackles, including six solo stops and three assists, consistently disrupting the Thorobreds’ offensive flow. He added two tackles for loss, totaling four yards and forced a crucial fumble, showcasing his ability to make key plays in pivotal moments. His leadership and impact were instrumental in holding Kentucky State to just one score in the second half.

Kicker | Sophomore | Conshohocken, Pa.

Spruill delivered nine punts for 348 yards, including a long of 48 yards and four inside the 20-yard line in Saturday’s game against Benedict.

Defensive Lineman | Freshman | Hueytown, Ala.

Green finished with a career-high seven tackles, two tackles for loss and half a sack in Miles’ win over Allen. He also recovered a fumble for the second consecutive week.
