What to Know
The Ole Miss Rebels and the South Carolina Gamecocks are set to square off in a SEC Bowl Subdivision battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (the Rebels: 8.4, the Gamecocks: 17) so any points scored will be well earned.
Ole Miss is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Kentucky just ended the team’s seven-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 20-17. The matchup marked the Rebels’ lowest-scoring match so far this season.
The loss doesn’t tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tre Harris, who picked up 176 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jaxson Dart was another key passer, throwing for 261 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Ole Miss’ defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Suntarine Perkins with two.
