The Vanderbilt Commodores have just done the unthinkable.
The team that’s been the butt of everyone’s jokes in the Southeastern conference.
The program that has never ever in its history, beaten a top five ranked team has just taken down number one, Alabama.
40 to 35 at home.
Fits.
I can hear the cheers from my house.
Your initial reaction to this crazy upset.
This is not Nick Saban’s Alabama anymore.
What do we see here?
We saw a massive letdown from Bama and I’m talking about in every possible way.
How do you give up over 400 yards of offense to Mandy?
How is it possible that in the fourth quarter, your defense simply couldn’t get a stop no matter what hole they dug themselves into.
We all thought that at some point this thing would normalize and in the second half, Bama would run away with it.
But the fact is Bama didn’t look prepared.
They didn’t look like they had the energy, they didn’t look like they had the I if I’m, if I’m Caitlin De Boer right now, I’m looking at my guys in the locker room, but I’m also looking in the mirror and trying to figure out what I need to do differently because we never saw this sort of a letdown from Saban’s Bama teams.
This was a test for Caitlin De Boer and I wanted to see how he got his team back up and motivated to avoid the hangover of the biggest win of not just Caitlin De Boer’s career, but the biggest win, the biggest game of the season so far, we always joked about Nick Saban talking about inferior opponents like they were the number one team in the country, how much respect that he gave his opponents publicly.
