The nationally ranked Illinois Fighting Illini continue Big Ten Conference college football season at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 against the Purdue Boilermakers at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Illinois.
Coach Bret Bielema and the No. 23 Illini are coming off a 21-7 road loss to Penn State and then a bye week. Illinois, picked to finish 15th in the Big Ten by the USA TODAY Network, is also No. 23 in The Associated Press poll.
Purdue (1-4) is coming off a 52-6 loss to Wisconsin. The Boilermakers, who are winless against FBS teams, were picked by USA TODAY to finish last in the 18-team Big Ten.
