HILLSDALE COUNTY — Congratulations to the Week 5 high school sports award honorees. Every week, three student-athletes earn Athlete of the Week award honors, including a Reader’s Choice voted honoree. At least two football players are also honored; one for each level of prep football and one Reader’s Choice voted honoree. The reader’s choice winners can also be the represented Daily News honorees.

Jake Drawe won the Week 5 Reader’s Choice football player of the week honor. The junior quarterback was involved on five touchdowns for the Wildcats’ win over North Adams-Jerome. Drawe had four rushes for 99 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, he passed for 239 yards on six passes for three touchdowns.
The runner-up honoree was Reading senior defensive back Skyler Charters, who made several big defensive plays in the Ranger’s win over Stockbridge.
The 11-player Hillsdale Daily News award honoree went to Reading senior Lukas Strine. The running back and linebacker captain helped his team defeat Stockbridge with 27 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He recorded 20 tackles in the 20-13 win.
The 8-player award honoree was Litchfield senior athlete Andrew Erhardt. Erhardt helped the Terriers win an 8-6 game at Camden-Frontier. It was their first win of the season. On defense, Erhardt had seven tackles. On offense, he had 37 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also had five receptions for 49 yards.
