JASON FITZ: Everybody talks about Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. But what if I told you the Chiefs might actually have a secret weapon they’re using. Our very own Charles McDonald checked in with the team.

CHARLES MCDONALD: Two interesting notes from Chiefs media availability today. First off, old Chiefs coordinator Eric Bieniemy came and spoke to the team apparently before the AFC title game win against the Baltimore Ravens. Eric Bieniemy has been in the news lately because he is now looking for a new job, after being let go by the Washington Commanders, in their switch to Dan Quinn as a head coach. Bieniemy has a ton of success with the Chiefs, had some success in Washington before it fell apart this year.

Andy Reid said they don’t have a spot for Bieniemy on the roster for next season. But be on the lookout for potential moves on his career because he was a valuable member of the Chiefs coaching staff and was a valuable mentor to Patrick Mahomes, as they were trying to get that group together on offense. Also, Patrick Mahomes said that Rashee Rice could be one of the best receivers in football, moving forward, which should say a lot about how he wants to target Rashee Rice and use him in the game on Sunday, against the 49ers. And they could be in store for a big outing there.

JASON FITZ: I guess that means we’ll all be keeping an eye on number four in the Super Bowl. Be sure to check back with Yahoo Sports every day for the latest, greatest from the Chiefs.
