What I think is interesting about the Bears.
So obviously they played in the Hall of Fame game, but quarterback Caleb Williams, the first overall pick did not play in that game.
And to me, it is about what Caleb’s doing.
It’s about their other first round pick.
Number nine, Roma do say and not just what they’re each doing on their own, but what they’re doing when they’re on the field together because when I was at Bears practice for two days, Rome was a very frequent target for Caleb and I don’t say that he was a very successful one.
In fact, I talked to Rome and Rome told me, like, look like there are some things with the, that we still need to get on the same page of how we’re reading it if it’s over the top or if it’s back shoulder and all sorts of things.
So, one of the things I’ll be watching is how their ability to be on the same page with the Goba has evolved over those two weeks because that’s what training camps for.
It’s for them to make those mistakes.
It’s for them to not be on the same page and then have the resulting conversations and it’ll be interesting to see, especially against the vanilla defenses that everyone gives in the preseason, what they’re able to do.
I’m really interested in it.
I know that fits because I’m in more fantasy leagues and I’d like to admit here on a podcast, but I just think about Roma Dunes, it’s very rare that a number nine selected overall receiver comes in and is like, where am I getting targets from?
Because they already have DJ Moore, the highest paid player in team history.
They have Keenan Allen who is a target monster and might be a hall of famer someday if he, he has a couple more good years.
