A win for Coastal Carolina would push their record over .500, and after two quarters of play they’ve put themselves in a good position to make it happen. After two quarters their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating Jacksonville State 31-10.
If Coastal Carolina keeps playing like this they’ll be starting off their season with a ‘W’. On the other hand, Jacksonville State will be starting their season off on the wrong foot unless they turn things around (and fast).

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will hit the road to start this year’s campaign against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Kickoff is scheduled at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday at AmFirst Stadium.
Looking back to last season, Coastal Carolina finished on the right side of .500 (7-5), and they’re hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year. Similarly, Jacksonville State had a stellar season and finished 8-4.
Coastal Carolina strolled past Jacksonville State in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 by a score of 30-16.
