Memphis football kicked off its 2024 season with a blowout win over North Alabama, but the challenges will soon get tougher.
Next up is Troy, the two-time defending Sun Belt champions. The Trojans (0-1) will visit Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday (11 a.m., ESPNU). Memphis (1-0) is a healthy favorite after Troy lost to Nevada in Week 1. The Tigers easily beat the Lions (0-2) to open the season thanks to two passing touchdowns from Seth Henigan and two rushing touchdowns from Mario Anderson.
Memphis’ stadium is currently undergoing renovations. The Tigers announced an attendance of 25,849 for Saturday’s game against North Alabama.
It will be the second-straight home game for the Tigers. Memphis will head to Tallahassee to face Florida State in Week 3.
