Georgia’s Raylen Wilson and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins earb SEC honors

ATHENS, Ga. — Bulldog linebacker Raylen Wilson and defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins have earned Southeastern Conference weekly honors following Georgia’s road win over Kentucky, according to a league announcement Monday.

Wilson, a native of Tallahassee, Fla., was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week while Ingram-Dawkins, a native of Gaffney, S.C., shared the Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week honor following the 13-12 victory over the Wildcats.

After the Bulldogs’ week one win over No. 14 Clemson, Carson Beck was the Co-Offensive Player of the Week and Peyton Woodring was the Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.

Wilson finished with five tackles, including a sack for loss of 28 yards, and forced a fumble during Georgia’s third straight win to start the year. His second tackle was his sack that forced a fumble in UGA territory, resulting in a Georgia field goal to tie the game at 3-all. Wilson and Ingram-Dawkins have helped anchor a defense that kept its third straight opponent in 2024 to zero touchdowns.

Ingram-Dawkins started his second consecutive game and finished with three tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack. He put pressure on the Wildcats to finish with only 114 passing yards on just 14 completions.

Following an off week this Saturday, No. 2 Georgia (3-0, 1-0 SEC) travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to play No. 4 Alabama (3-0, 0-0) on Sept. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and the ABC will televise the matchup.
