Mississippi State football is welcoming Texas into the SEC this week.
The Bulldogs (1-3, 0-1 SEC) are traveling to Austin, Texas to play the Longhorns (4-0, 0-0) in their first conference game since leaving the Big 12. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Texas is ranked No. 2 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll and has wins this season against Colorado State, No. 12 Michigan, UTSA and Louisiana-Monroe. Mississippi State will play without starting quarterback Blake Shapen, who sustained a season-ending shoulder injury on Saturday in a 45-28 loss to Florida.
