Week 6 of college football promises to be a thrilling one, with two highly anticipated matchups set to kick off the action on Thursday. The excitement begins as Texas State heads to Veterans Memorial Stadium to take on Troy, followed by the showdown between Sam Houston and UTEP.
After a heart-stopping 40-39 loss to Sam Houston, Texas State is ready to bounce back. The Bobcats’ quarterback, Jordan McCloud, put up an impressive performance, completing 29 of 39 attempts for 326 yards and three touchdowns. With their sights set on Troy, who currently hold a 1-4 record, Texas State is determined to turn the tables and claim a victory.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, UTEP are in talks with the Mountain West regarding their rumored mutual interest in joining the league, but that discussion will take the backburner as the Miners focus on getting their first win of the season.
