Deion Sanders and the Colorado football team are enjoying some well-deserved time off.
The Buffaloes enter the bye week at 4-1 after an upset win over UCF in dominant fashion. A tough test awaits them in Week 7 as Kansas State (4-1) comes to Boulder for a showdown with massive Big 12 implications.

Many people are curious about where Shilo Sanders fits back in after missing the last three games, and rightfully so. The Buffs’ starting safety underwent surgery on his right forearm after tackling Nebraska running back Dante Dowdell during a Week 2 loss to the Cornhuskers.
In Shilo Sanders’ absence, the Colorado defense has impressed. The Buffs haven’t allowed more than seven points in the second half of a game all season and sophomore defensive back Carter Stoutmire has played well (18 tackles over last four weeks) in place of Shilo.
With Shilo Sanders now expected to return after the bye for a pivotal Week 7 game with Kansas State, it gives Deion Sanders and defensive coordinator Robert Livingston something to think about.
Most coaches will say that players don’t lose their spot due to injury, especially a player as experienced and productive (led the team in tackles last season) as Shilo Sanders. That’s why the safe bet is to assume that Shilo Sanders will return to his starting spot in the Buffs’ secondary and Stoutmire will return to his backup role…
