Michigan State-Oregon football history: All-time series record between Spartans, Ducks

Michigan State football looks to get back on track in Week 6, as it travels out to the Pacific Northwest to face its second straight top-10 opponent.

And it comes in a location where the Spartans will look for their first program win at, as well.

Led by first-year coach Jonathan Smith, the Spartans (3-2, 1-1 in Big Ten play) will look for their second Big Ten road win of the season as they head to No. 6 Oregon for a Big Ten after-dark showdown on Friday at 9 p.m. ET.

While both Michigan State and Oregon have a history of playing each other throughout the years, Friday’s meeting is, of course, the first time that both programs will face each other as conference opponents.

With that, here’s a look at the series history between Michigan State and Oregon:

Eventual 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota threw for 318 yards passing and three touchdowns in that contest.

Friday will mark the first meeting between both teams since they met up in the 2018 Redbox Bowl, when now-Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert led Oregon to a 7-6 win, despite Michigan State out-gaining the Ducks on offense on the afternoon.
