Vanderbilt football injury report vs Kentucky: Who’s in, who’s out for Week 7 game

Several Vanderbilt football starters appeared on the injury report ahead of a matchup with Kentucky.

Six players were listed as questionable, including five starters: linebackers Bryan Longwell and Langston Patterson, defensive lineman Yilanan Ouattara, offensive lineman Chase Mitchell and safety CJ Taylor.

All of those players were listed on the Commodores’ depth chart.

Boubacar Diakite, who has missed the last three games with an injury, is also questionable. Zaylin Wood, who suffered an ankle injury against Georgia State, is still out. Clark Lea said Tuesday that he hoped Wood could return this season.

Vanderbilt (3-2, 1-1 SEC) defeated Alabama, 40-35, on Saturday for its first win over a top-five program in school history. The Commodores will travel to Lexington to face the Wildcats (3-2, 1-2) on Saturday (6:45 p.m. CT, SEC Network).
